I have been a runner all my life. As a child I was always that person who came last in races at school, but I never cared because I was better than the kids who were not running at all. I have carried this attitude throughout my life and career.
In the military I discovered bodyweight training and found it worked well with running. I have used this technique, combined with good nutrition to achieve the level fitness that I have today. I have completed more half marathons than I can remember and have run several London marathons.
I have never liked going to the gym, I find them scary and intimidating. During my training as a fitness instructor I discovered that a lot of woman, especially those in their forties and beyond, share this point of view. So I decided to use my experience and training to offer an alternative approach to fitness and well-being to people who share the same outlook.
